I have been in Network Marketing now for about 4 years and the #1 problem in Network Marketing that I have learned is most people don’t have a big enough network to build a successful business. A lot of people come into Network Marketing very excited about their new journey. The problem that arises and arises very quickly with a lot of people is that their family and friends are not on board and they run out of people to talk to. I see this time and time again and when this happens what do a majority of them do? They QUIT. It’s very sad to see people quit so quickly but that’s what happens. Unfortunately a lot of people don’t look at this like a real business and they don’t realize it’s going to take time to build a clientele to have a successful business. The only way to build a clientele is by getting out there and making new friends and networking.

So now that we realize that’s what we have to do to grow a network marketing business the next question is where do we go to find these new friends to network with? Well below I have given you 50 different ways to network and make new friends! One tip I want to give you is remember this is a relationship building business so your first initial contact is not going to be you pitching your business, it’s going to be you introducing yourself and getting to know them better. The next step will be to find a creative way to stay in touch with them! I like to use Facebook to do that but whatever way works for you is great! Another thing I want you to remember is that this business takes time to build because it takes time to grow relationships. The better you can get at establishing a connection with someone, the faster the relationship will grow, which in turn means the faster your business will grow. Plant seeds daily, water those seeds, and wait for the harvest to grow!! Happy networking!

7 Steps to Becoming A Network Marketing Professional

What I have learned over the last 3 ½ years is a lot of people come into Network Marketing treating it like a hobby and not a real business. A lot of us have never done anything like this before and we come in expecting to be a professional at it right off the bat. What we forget is it takes certain skills to become a professional in any industry and network marketing is no different. We have to take the time to learn the skills necessary to be successful and that will take time, a few years’ time. Just like if you wanted to be a nurse or a doctor you have to go to school for many years to learn the skills necessary. With this business you get to learn the skills basically for free and get to make money along the way, but you have to invest the time to learn these certain skills and then teach them to your downline.

In the book Go Pro, Eric Worre, a Network Marketer for over 20 years, discusses that there are 3 categories of people in Network Marketing. The first is the Poser and those are the ones that come in hoping to get lucky by signing a few rockstars. The second is the Amateur and they focus on many different things like luck, timing, positioning, and shortcuts. The third type is the Professional and these are the people that realize that this is a career and that there are certain skills to be learned to build a large Network Marketing business and they invest the time into learning theses skills.

In this book Eric teaches the 7 fundamental skills to building your Network Marketing business. The first thing he teaches you is How to Find Prospects. Next lesson is on Inviting Prospects to your Product or Opportunity. The third skill is Presenting Your Product and Opportunity. The fourth skill is Following Up. The fifth skill is Helping Prospects Become Customers or Distributors. The sixth skill is Helping Your New Distributor Get Started and the last skill is Promoting Events. If you can learn theses 7 basic skills you will have an exploding successful network marketing business.

This book can be purchased on Amazon pretty inexpensively, or you can download it from I encourage each one of you to take the time, invest in yourself, invest in your future and get this book and learn the 7 skills necessary to growing a Network Marketing Empire!!

Self-education will make you a living

If you want to be successful in your MLM business, Personal Development is a MUST! From my experience a lot of people who start an MLM business have self-limiting beliefs, past baggage, and a poor image of themselves. This was me 3 years ago but I learned MLM is all about building relationships with people therefore it’s crucial that you get yourself right so that you can connect with other people in a meaningful way. Personal Development, MLM, Successful We are NOT born leaders so we must work on developing ourselves into the type of person that others want to DO or BE in business with.

Wikipedia says Personal development includes activities that improve awareness and identity, develop talents and potential, build human capital and facilitate employability, enhance quality of life and contribute to the realization of dreams and aspirations. For example, when you were born you didn’t come out of moms belly walking, right? You started by crawling, then standing and then you attempted to walk. You tried to walk many times but you kept falling over and over again until one day you got up and started walking. Over time you developed the skills necessary to learn how to walk, so from the time you were born you were personally developing.

There is an old saying that goes like this ‘practice makes perfect’, and that’s absolutely true, in any area of your life. If you want to be great at something, whether it be riding a bike, playing an instrument, writing a blog, public speaking, communicating, or becoming a leader in your MLM business, you need to practice the necessary skills in order to become successful. You must learn, you must fail, and you must try again until the skills are developed. Remember, developing these skills won’t happen overnight, it will take time and effort and that’s why you need to be on a 3-5 year plan with your MLM business.

Every TOP money earner in MLM understands and implements Personal Development so lets talk about what you can do to personally develop yourself.

1. Spend at least 15 minutes each day praying, meditating, or just having quiet time. This will allow you to get to know your real thoughts and what you truly believe about yourself. If you’re having self-limiting beliefs you first need to stop accepting these beliefs and allowing them to define you and second you need to reaffirm who God says you are and start confessing that out loud. It won’t be an easy task especially when some of these beliefs have been engrained in you since childhood but with consistent effort you will change your beliefs about who you were meant to be. Typically, WE are what stops us from being successful in MLM so it is extremely important to do this exercise everyday so you can start to transform your beliefs. Your mindset is your most important tool, so let’s get it right!

2. Read books or listen to audio books. Find out the areas you need to improve on the most and start studying on how to get better. Learn about the Network Marketing industry. Just like if you wanted to be a DR. you would have to go to college for about 8 years to learn the skills to become a DR. Same goes with MLM, you have to take the time to learn the skills and techniques necessary to become a successful network marketer. Find someone successful in network marketing and learn what they are doing and follow their lead.

3. Stay plugged in to ALL your company conference calls, trainings, and events. I can’t stress enough how important this is to the success of your MLM business and personal development. Staying plugged in will help you gain knowledge in the products and help you get acquainted with the company and their vision. It will also help build your belief level and help you develop the skills necessary to be successful in the MLM industry. So stay plugged in!

Personal Development is going to take time, patience, persistence, and consistent effort. If you want to have a successful MLM business make sure you are taking the time each day to learn and grow. Remember your building a business and that takes time, so keep learning, developing, and taking action and you will have success! The main reason people fail in this industry is they quit before they get started! Good Luck!

Until next time, have a great day!
